1. Lighting:

Adeniums require plenty of sunlight to flourish. Aim for at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. If you're growing the plant indoors, a south-facing window is ideal. In regions with very hot sun, some afternoon shade may be necessary to prevent leaf scorch.

2. Watering:

Water your Adenium sparingly. The plant prefers to dry out between waterings, and overwatering can easily lead to root rot. During the growing season (spring and summer), water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry. Reduce watering in the fall and further in the winter when the plant’s growth slows down.

3. Temperature and Humidity:

Desert roses thrive in warm conditions and do not tolerate cold well. Keep them in temperatures above 50°F (10°C). During the winter, it’s crucial to keep your Adenium indoors if you live in a cooler climate.

4. Soil and Repotting:

Use a well-draining potting mix, ideally one designed for cacti and succulents. Repotting is typically done every two to three years to refresh the soil. Be cautious of damaging the roots when repotting.

50% Garden soil

30% Sand

15% goat dung

5% born meal

5. Fertilization:

Feed your Adenium every few weeks during the growing season with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half the recommended strength. Avoid fertilizing in the winter when the plant is dormant.

Suggested Fertilisers- DAP/NPK

6. Pruning:

Pruning can be done to shape the plant or encourage a more compact growth form. It’s best to prune at the beginning of the growing season.

7. Pest and Disease Management:

Keep an eye out for pests such as aphids, spider mites, and mealybugs. Treat infestations with insecticidal soap or neem oil. Fungal diseases are less common but can occur if the plant is kept too moist or in poor ventilation.
